saterday was a long day left home at 07.45 and got home at 22.00. i was out with my raynet group running comms for the council at the opening of the games, lord coe was the guest of honuor, but the stars of the show where the kids and there costums they were amazing check pic out at http://www.natwestislandgames2011.co.uk/ its well worth a look out again sunday tuesday and thursday and friday busy busy

got a busy month coming up we have a special event this weekend 18/19 june then the island is hosting the Island games and my raynet group have been asked to help with comms that is from the 25th june for a week. As well as all that im studying for the full licence exam.

wow how time flies just had the i.o.w festival some good acts this year but the weather turned bad on the sunday heavy rain and wind, but that is the first bad weather in ten years so not to bad.

did plan to do the practical wireless 2m qrp contest but stayed home due to the weather.

wow time really flies by since i last updated i have had a quick operation, so no real radio work done, had a quite Christmas and new year cant wait for the spring must get out and take more pictures and do more radio.

Woke early went to Culvor Down to work portable HF had 30 contacts and my very first to Australia very happy with that hope this is the start of many

Had a great weekend with the club at wolverton manor, we had some good contacts and i think it was well attended.

The island was full of lambretta scooters this weekend they come every year and this was the first time i went and took a look, It was brilliant there were around 21,000 and most meet on the sea front in ryde. There were some amazing bikes(see pics in gallery).

took luke over to portsmouth to see the RAF recruitment officer had a look round the historic dock yard, and gunwarf quay.

had a great weekend at the Needles old battery, even though the whole weekend we were covered by thick fog

Cant wait for the weekend going to the Needles lighthouse with my radio club for lighthouse/lightship on the air its a great spot for radio last time we broke the club record we had 750 contacts
